300 Hour Advanced YTT Curriculum

At Mindful Bali, we offer both 200-hour and 300-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings, each designed to meet you where you are on your yoga journey. Our 200-hour YTT is the foundational program for aspiring teachers and dedicated practitioners - offering a comprehensive introduction to vinyasa and yin yoga, anatomy, philosophy, and the art of trauma-informed teaching. It's perfect for anyone ready to step into the role of teacher or deepen their personal practice. Our 300-hour YTT is an advanced training designed for certified yoga teachers who want to specialize, refine their teaching skills, and dive deeper into the spiritual heart of yoga. This immersive experience includes in-depth studies in Bhakti Yoga, the Yoga Sutras, meditation, pranayama, asana adjustments, and yoga entrepreneurship. Whether you're beginning your path or ready to expand your expertise, each training at Mindful Bali offers a life-changing journey of transformation, community, and growth in the heart of Bali.

When a student obtains both their 200 Hour YTT and their 300 Hour YTT, they are considered 500 Hour Yoga Teachers with the Yoga Alliance, the most advanced level of teacher.

Module 1: Breath Practices for Mental Health (Pranayama)

A lot of 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings barely cover the practice of Pranayama. Alexandra, our founder, felt she didn't understand pranayama until she started leading 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Trainings ten years into her career. Once she began regularly practicing and teaching the material, she saw it's tremendous  benefit. Pranayama, or controlled breathing, is an essential mental health tool that can help our students reduce anxiety, regulate their emotions and find balance. In this 50 Hour Module you'll learn in detail how to practice and teach pranayama - not just for yourself but for others.

Module 3: Asana Adjustments & Assists

During most 200 Hour YTTs students learn a lot about asanas (postures). But many graduates don't feel confident offering hands on adjustments and assists for my students for many years. This interaction between teacher and student can help a student feel seen, supported, and set apart a beginner teacher from an advanced teacher. In this module, we will spend detailed time learning and practicing hands on assists on each other.  We will focus on all pose categories including: standing open hip, closed hip, and neutral poses, forward folds, backbends, twists, inversions.

Module 5: Yoga Sutra Study Chapters 3 & 4
ONLINE MODULE IN 2025

Chapters three and four of the sutras are more advanced. Chapter three runs from 3.1 - 3.55 . This chapter focuses on the supernatural abilities (siddhis) gained from the practice of samyama. This Module is primarily about practicing samyama, the “perfect discipline” in which the yogi directs the mind into dharana (concentration), dhyana (meditation), and samadhi (complete union) with a single object of focus. These are the final three limbs of Ashtanga (8-limbed) yoga, and they concentrate the energy of consciousness. In the last chapter we study, we'll learn about the forces of nature (gunas) and how to move past the limitations of time and space. We'll learn about yoga’s goal - a continuously unfolding process of self-knowledge and that this will lead to moksha, liberation.

Module 2: Meditation Practices for Mental Health

Alexandra knows as a yoga teacher, when she was put on the spot to lead a meditation after about five years of teaching yoga, she still had no idea what that meant! It was a mix between a motivational talk and some deep breaths. Since then, she's gone deep into her own personal meditation practice and seen the profound effects various styles of meditation can have on one's mood. She has noticed that again, this seems to be an area that is not as deeply covered in most 200 Hour YTTS, which is why she has made it a point of focus on the Mindful Bali 300 Hour YTT.

Module 4: Yoga Sutra Study Chapters 1 & 2
ONLINE MODULE IN 2025

The Yoga Sutra Study course is an advanced yoga philosophy program. The first chapter of the Yoga Sutras defines yoga, the aim of practice, and the various problems that will come along the way as we work towards the state of yoga. In this course, we look at our identity separating from our thoughts, and discover the reasons why we do meditation and what we gain from meditation. In book two Patanjali explains how to attain the goal of Samadhi. This book explains the mind, suffering, and how to live a yoga lifestyle.  Patanjali explains the three paths of practice that The Bhagavad Gita teaches. Patanjali says we can use our Body/Karma/Action, our Mind/Jnana/Alignment, and our Heart/Bhakti/attitude. Book two also introduces us to the first five of the eight limbs of yoga, and gives us an opportunity to put them into practice.

Module 6:  Yoga Entrepreneurship
ONLINE MODULE IN 2025

In 2019, Alexandra started building her online yoga business, The Mindful Life Practice. During that time, she developed so much knowledge about how to create a niche, reach her ideal customers, connect and build a relationships, and develop her revenue streams so that she made more money as a yoga teacher than I did as a school teacher - and she could quit her  job and do this full time. This is one of the key practical skills she feels is missing from most modern yoga teacher trainings - the business side of things. In this online program, Alexandra will give you all the practical skills to develop your business - while meeting online with you regularly in a group setting to develop these skills.

What Our Graduates Say

Yoga Instructor

Meg Hamilton, USA

Alex teaches so much more than just asana. Her thoughtful integration of meditation, yoga philosophy, and history truly sets this program apart.

Daniel

"I had the privilege of attending her first Kirtan on her roof, in an intimate setting as the sun slowly set over the Ubud rice fields. There is a difference between performative singing and authentic expression - Alex is the latter. Without trying, she brought together a group of strangers all around the world to a meaningful night where she performed both sacred chants and modern music in unison."

Elena

I joined the Kirtan & Community Buffet Dinner with Alexandra, and my gosh, she has such divine energy 😍 I had also joined her yoga class at another studio and absolutely loved it, so I signed up for the Kirtan and dinner because I really wanted to experience her work in a deeper, more soulful way. We were singing mantras while heavy rain poured outside, it felt truly magical, followed by a delicious Indonesian dinner. I highly recommend Alexandra and this studio!

Айзере

"It was wonderful experience in my life I didn’t know much about mantra, but it was great. Alex was professional, her voice it was like honey to me. Voice of Angel❤️ After we ate great food and had conversation with everyone. The view was amazing, sounds of rain and people made atmosphere. Definitely, I will back again and highly recommend for everyone cause it will me one of the best memories of your life Thank you so much:)"
